We have been so busy since being back in the states. We are hoping that this week coming up will be a bit lighter, but it doesn't look like it will be. We have spent the last few days looking for a 5th Wheel trailer for us to use while on furlough. Yesterday Jason and I drove to Everett to see a trailer that looked and sounded pretty good. It is a 33 foot Dutchman with a super slide in the livingroom. It is so nice. It has been used as a temporary house for a couple building their house. I couldn't believe all the cabinets it had in it and how clean it was. They took really good care of it. We are in the process of trying to secure financing to buy this trailer. We had found some that were the same price, but smaller and older. We weren't sure if we wanted anything as nice as this trailer, but because it is being sold by a private person and not a dealer we will be paying less for this one than any of the others we have seen. We are praying that God would allow us to pay for it. I am sure you can see by the picture of the kitchen why we, and by that I mean I, love it. All of the cabinets are custom which means they are made better than normal trailer cabinets. I also love the fridge. We only saw a few that were bigger and they were in trailers that cost over $40,000. I had fun looking at those.
Last night we had a great service. Pastor Smith was in Bend, OR to be with the family of Bro. Mark Lawrence who suffered brain swelling in a quad accident. He is doing better tonight, but is still in a medical induced coma to reduce the brain swelling. Please pray that he will continue to improve. Anyway, we had Pastor Greg Boyle preach last night. He was a great encouragement to me. He preached a great sermon. It was a huge blessing to me.
Jordan had a hard time going into class last night. I had to sit and talk with him for a few minutes before he would go into the classroom. He was so excited to be going to "Sunday School" when we went up the stairs, but by the time we got to the top he wasn't in such a great mood to be there. Both him and Joey had hard times, but by the time church was over they didn't want to leave.
Please continue to pray for Audrey. She still is running a small fever and has a bad cough. I am sure that she will be well enough to go on Sunday, but we are hoping that she can enjoy this weekend too.
Tomorrow is garage sale day. I am looking forward to going. I am looking for some tennis rackets for when we are out of town so we can exercise and have fun at the same time. We have got to do something as our clothes are not fitting so well and we have only been back a week.
Wow! What a trailer! It has cupboards just like the ones in my kitchen! My parents motorhome doesn't even have that!
ReplyDeleteWe've talked about getting some kind of RV, but our Homeowners Association has it written into the covenant that you can only park RV's at your house for 48 hours. We'd have to pay to store it somewhere. And with gas prices, well, maybe not.
